The story

Spidey SAT on a mat. He had a nap. But then — TAP TAP TAP! He heard a bad sound from the lab!

Spidey RAN fast. He RAN and RAN. He ran past a van. He ran past a man. He ran to the lab as fast as he CAN!

In the lab he saw a BAD cat and a SAD bat. The bad cat had a MAP. The sad bat had a BAG. Oh no! They were grabbing all the snacks!

"HAH!" said the bad cat. "You CAN'T catch me, Spidey! I am too FAST. I have a PLAN!" The bad cat ran with the map.

But Spidey had a plan too. THWAP! He shot a web at the bad cat's hat. SNAP! The hat stuck to the wall. The cat GASPED!

The bad cat dropped the map! What should Spidey do?

What happens next?

  • Grab the map back!
  • Chat with the cat!

Spidey GRABBED the map. "Got it!" he said with a CLAP. The bad cat sat flat on her back. "Rats!" said the cat. "Drat!"

"Why are you so BAD, cat?" asked Spidey. The cat sat flat. "I am not bad. I am just SAD. I have no pals. I have no snacks. I just wanted a friend and a little chat."

Spidey gave the map back to the lab man. He gave the bag of snacks to the sad bat. And the bad cat? She got a SNACK too. Because even bad cats can learn to be GLAD.

Spidey swung back to his mat. He had another nap. What a day! He ZAPPED a trap, he SNAPPED a hat, and he made a bad cat GLAD. Not bad, Spidey. Not bad at all!
