The story
Princess Luna and Princess Dawn were twins. Luna loved the moonlight. Dawn loved the sunrise. They shared everything — until today.
In the castle garden, the flowers were wilting. No rain had come for weeks. And the songbirds had all flown away.
Then they found it — hidden in the old fountain. A golden crown covered in sparkling gems. And a note: "ONE wish. Choose wisely."
"We should wish for RAIN!" said Luna. "The flowers are dying! The garden needs water or it will be gone forever."
"We should wish for the BIRDS to come back!" said Dawn. "Without birds, the seeds won't spread. And the garden can't grow back without seeds!"
Both wishes are good. Both princesses are right. What should they do?
What happens next?
- Help Luna — rain!
- Help Dawn — birds!
- Find a way to share!
Luna placed the crown on her head and closed her eyes. "I wish for rain," she whispered. Dark clouds gathered. RAIN poured down!
The flowers lifted their heads. The grass turned green. The garden was alive again! But the sky was still empty. No birds.
Dawn is quiet. The rain worked, but her birds are still gone. What does Luna do?
What happens next?
- "I'm sorry, Dawn."
- Plant seeds together!
"Next time," said Luna, "we'll decide TOGETHER. Your ideas matter just as much as mine." Dawn smiled. And somewhere far away, a bird began to sing.
Dawn placed the crown on her head. "I wish for the birds to come home!" Suddenly the sky filled with wings! Birds everywhere!
The birds sang and sang. They carried seeds in their beaks. But the ground was still dry. The seeds couldn't grow without water.
Luna is quiet. The birds are back, but her flowers are still dying. What does Dawn do?
What happens next?
- "You were right too."
- Ask birds to carry water!
"I should have listened to you," said Dawn. "Both things mattered." Luna held her hand. The birds began carrying water from the distant lake, drop by drop.
"Wait," said Luna. "What if we BOTH hold the crown? What if we wish for the same thing — for the garden to be WHOLE again?"
Together they held the crown. Together they closed their eyes. "We wish for our garden to be whole again!" they said as one voice.
The crown glows bright! Something amazing is happening! What do they see first?
What happens next?
- Look at the sky!
- Look at the ground!
Rain fell gently. Birds returned singing. Flowers bloomed. "Look what happens," said Luna, "when we wish TOGETHER." Dawn laughed. "Two heads — and two hearts — are better than one!"
